Making Music, Building Community
The Bay Area Choral Society (BACS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community chorus serving Florida’s Forgotten Coast. Since 1989, BACS has brought high-quality choral music to the community through performances, collaborations with professional musicians and orchestras, and music education programs for local youth.
Over the years, BACS has performed at Carnegie Hall and collaborated with the Panama City Symphony. Through the Bay Area Youth Chorale and children’s music programs in Franklin and Gulf Counties, BACS continues to expand access to music and create meaningful opportunities for young people.
Bay Area Youth Chorale
The BACS Youth Chorale is a tuition-free community choir for singers ages 9–16 throughout Franklin and Gulf Counties. The program provides young people with access to quality choral education in communities where school music opportunities can be limited.
Through weekly rehearsals, choral instruction, and public performances, Youth Chorale members develop musical skills while building confidence, creativity, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
