Our singers share a love of music and a commitment to excellence. Whether you’re interested in attending a concert, joining the choir, volunteering, or supporting our mission, we invite you to become part of BACS.
Making Music, Building Community
The Bay Area Choral Society (BACS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community chorus serving Florida’s Forgotten Coast. Since 1989, BACS has brought high-quality choral music to the community through performances, collaborations with professional musicians and orchestras, and music education programs for local youth.
London, Carnegie Hall and Panama City Symphony!
BACS is thrilled to share exciting opportunities ahead! Following our return to Carnegie Hall this November, we have been invited to perform in London in June 2027 as part of an international festival choir. We are also honored to continue our connection with the Panama City Symphony. These experiences give our singers the chance to make beautiful music far beyond the Forgotten Coast.
Bay Area Youth Chorale
The BACS Youth Chorale is a tuition-free community choir for singers ages 9–16 throughout Franklin and Gulf Counties. The program provides young people with access to quality choral education in communities where school music opportunities can be limited.
Through weekly rehearsals, choral instruction, and public performances, Youth Chorale members develop musical skills while building confidence, creativity, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
